We are showing this film on the 11th January at Liskerrett in Liskeard, 19:30. This film tells the story of how our civilization’s addiction to oil puts it on a collision course with geology. Compelling, intelligent, and highly entertaining, the film visits with the world’s top experts and comes to a startling, but logical conclusion – our industrial society, built on cheap and readily available oil, must be completely re-imagined and overhauled. You can read more information about the film here. If you want to see a short trailer, click here. |

Today an new peak in oil prices was reached with West Texas Intermediate Crude oil closing at over $90 per barrel in some markets. This is very close to being a record high in real (inflation adjusted) terms - about the same as the peak reached during the Iranian affair some decades ago. |
